Restore the Delta!

On July 25th, Gov. Jerry Brown announced (,0,5647580.story ) plans to build two large 37-mile underground tunnels to divert Sacramento River water around the Delta to San Joaquin Valley agriculture and southern municipalities. This massive public works project, proposed under the Bay Delta Conservation Plan (BDCP), is estimated to cost between $21 and $47 billion or more.
